About the Event

Sestina Music is delighted to present Concert Spirituel to audiences in Belfast, Wexford and Kilkenny in April 2025. Alongside our concert series we will also be running two one-hour vocal workshops exploring the soundscape of early music. Discover historical vocal techniques and baroque instruments in a relaxed and informal atmosphere. Collaborate with our vocalists and experience the joy of singing with an early music ensemble, while enhancing your vocal skills and exploring the rich history of early music.

Who can take part?
​
This event is aimed at anyone who enjoys choral singing and has an interest in early music motets by Michel-Richard de Lalande. Reading music is useful, but not essential - Sestina Music will provide marked-up scores to help you prepare for the event.

Where and when?
​
Workshops will take place in Belfast on Friday 25th April 2025 and in Wexford on Saturday, 26th April 2025 and will run from 1600-1700.
​
Participants will join the full Sestina Music ensemble and their period instrument band for a one-hour workshop guided by Musical Director Mark Chambers.
